PATH is seeking a Global Benefits and Market Review Specialist to support a multi-country review of statutory benefit requirements, market practices, and alignment of Total Rewards programs across PATH operating countries.

The successful candidate will conduct country-level research and analysis of retirement programs, leave policies, healthcare coverage, allowances, bonuses, and other employee benefits. Working closely with the Head of Total Rewards and Total Rewards Analysts, they will validate current benefits data, document current-state programs, gather market comparator information, assess compliance and competitiveness, identify gaps and risks, and develop recommendations and supporting materials to inform decision-making by Total Rewards leadership, the PLT, and the CPO.

The primary outcome of this assignment is a comprehensive country-by-country assessment of statutory benefits requirements, market practices, and PATH's current programs, culminating in recommendations to support future global benefits strategy and governance.

This role requires strong global benefits expertise, analytical skills, and experience working in international nonprofit or NGO environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Benefits & Compliance Review

  • Research country-specific statutory requirements related to:

    • Retirement and pension programs

    • Paid leave and holiday policies

    • Leave accrual and rollover requirements

    • Healthcare coverage

    • Bonuses and allowances

  • Document applicable laws, regulations, and supporting references.

  • Validate PATH's current benefits and allowances by country.

Market Analysis

  • Research market practices across assigned countries, including:

    • Leave and vacation norms

    • Healthcare coverage and cost-sharing arrangements

    • Retirement contribution structures

    • Common allowance and bonus practices

  • Gather and analyze data from NGO and broader market comparators.

Comparative Analysis & Recommendations

  • Assess PATH benefits against:

    • Statutory requirements

    • Market practices

    • Comparator organizations

  • Identify:

    • Compliance risks

    • Gaps and inconsistencies

    • Opportunities for harmonization and improvement

  • Develop recommendations, including estimated cost or operational impacts where feasible.

Reporting & Stakeholder Support

  • Prepare standardized country reports and supporting documentation.

  • Develop consolidated comparison tables and summary analyses.

  • Support executive presentations and discussion materials.

  • Participate in virtual review sessions with HR and leadership stakeholders.


Each specialist will be assigned a portfolio of countries and regions and will be responsible for delivering analysis and recommendations within established project timelines.


Key Deliverables

  • Validated benefits inventory by country and region.

  • Market comparator data for assigned countries.

  • Analysis of benefits gaps, inconsistencies, compliance risks, and cost implications.

  • Recommendations to support benefits governance and decision-making.

  • Documentation supporting the Global Benefits Review and Total Rewards roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, International Relations, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global benefits, or a related area.

  • Experience supporting multi-country or international organizations, preferably INGOs.

  • Strong knowledge of international benefits and employment practices.

  • Experience conducting market benchmarking and comparative analysis.

  • Advanced analytical, documentation, and Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across African and Asian markets.

  • Familiarity with nonprofit and donor-funded environments.

  • Knowledge of global mobility, benefits governance, or labor compliance.

  • Experience utilizing external survey and benchmarking data.
