About the role

Job Summary
The Tendering Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to sales teams and conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific pricing.
This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.

1. Preparation and submission of tenders in line with customer requirements, ensuring to meet Sulzer commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.

2. Obtain the quotes from sub-vendors for bought outs, outsourcing activities.

3. Work closely with Sales, Engineering and Operations to provide cost effective, competitive solutions in line with Sulzer financial objectives.

4. Overall responsibility for sustaining the profit margin on tenders.

5. Follow up outstanding tenders with customers/sales agents in accordance with agreed Company requirements, and in conjunction with Sales teams.

6. Preparation of Lost Bid Analysis.

7. Ensure application of Sulzer tools and compliance with policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines.

8. Work closely with the Sales teams to meet TCT, extend best support to improve OCT.

9. Accurate Order booking in SAP / ZEST in line with the contract, Regularization of order, monitoring and updating status of order to customer to meet CDD, achieve sales target.

Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
