Territory Manager – MFD Segment

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Manager – MFD Segment based in India.

This role is a field-driven wealth distribution position focused on expanding mutual fund adoption and building strong investor relationships across assigned territories. You will be responsible for driving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth by acquiring, onboarding, and nurturing retail and HNI investors through structured financial advisory conversations. The position combines sales execution, financial planning, and deep community engagement, requiring regular field travel within your assigned region. You will operate as a key growth partner in emerging markets, helping individuals achieve long-term financial goals through SIPs, wealth creation strategies, and disciplined investing. The role also involves identifying high-value clients and connecting them to premium wealth solutions. It is a performance-oriented position where independence, consistency, and relationship-building are essential. You will work within a structured yet entrepreneurial environment supported by strong operational and compliance frameworks.

Accountabilities:

  • Acquire and onboard new mutual fund investors through field engagement, referrals, local networking, and community outreach activities.
  • Drive consistent AUM growth by building and managing a personal investor portfolio within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct financial planning discussions covering SIPs, goal-based investing, tax planning, and long-term wealth creation strategies.
  • Identify and engage HNI clients, and refer them to premium wealth management offerings where applicable.
  • Organize investor awareness sessions and participate in financial literacy and education initiatives within local markets.
  • Ensure proper completion of KYC, compliance checks, and end-to-end investor servicing processes.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition and AUM targets aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships with investors to support retention, cross-selling, and long-term portfolio growth.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mutual Fund Distributor (MFD) or in a similar wealth distribution role.
    • Valid ARN registration and NISM Series V-A certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
    • Proven experience in managing an existing investor base and building long-term client relationships.
    • Strong understanding of mutual funds, SIPs, AUM growth, and financial planning concepts.
    • Comfortable with extensive field travel within the assigned territory.
    • Familiarity with platforms such as MFCentral, MFU, BSE StAR, NJ Wealth, or similar tools is preferred.
    • Experience in banking, insurance, or financial advisory roles is an advantage.
    • Strong local market network within the assigned region is highly desirable.
    • Good communication, persuasion, and relationship management skills with a client-first approach.
    • Ability to work independently in a target-driven, entrepreneurial environment.
