Territory Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Sales Manager based in India.

This role focuses on driving commercial growth across a defined territory within the life sciences and diagnostics space, with responsibility for building strong customer relationships and expanding market presence. You will engage directly with clinicians, researchers, and laboratory stakeholders to promote advanced scientific solutions that support critical healthcare and research outcomes. The position combines field-based sales execution with strategic account management, requiring both technical understanding and strong commercial acumen. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities while strengthening long-term partnerships across the region. Operating in a high-impact scientific environment, the role demands agility, curiosity, and a customer-first mindset. Accountabilities:

  • Drive sales growth across the assigned territory by identifying, engaging, and developing new customer opportunities within the life sciences and diagnostics market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, researchers, laboratory teams, and channel partners to support long-term business development.
  • Promote and present advanced scientific and laboratory solutions, clearly communicating product value and technical benefits.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, negotiation, closing deals, and post-sale relationship management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates to support forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on customer needs, product positioning, and market strategy.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory (at least 50%) to maintain strong local market presence.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
    • Prior experience in sales, business development, or territory management within life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare industries.
    • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, molecular biology, cell techniques, or flow cytometry is a plus.
    • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and deliver consistent sales performance.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong self-motivation, adaptability, and ability to work independently in a field-based role.
    • Comfortable working with CRM systems and managing structured sales pipelines.
