Overview

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Test Analyst<\/b> to support the Procurement System Modernization Project<\/b>. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities to ensure enterprise procurement and financial systems meet business and technical requirements.

This role requires strong experience in QA testing, UAT coordination, ERP/SAP testing, defect management, and stakeholder collaboration<\/b>.

Requirements<\/h3>Key Responsibilities
<\/h2>- Review business requirements and design specifications and provide testing input.
<\/li> - Develop and support test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
<\/li> - Coordinate testing activities with business users, project teams, technical resources, security teams, and vendors.
<\/li> - Identify test data requirements and manage test datasets.
<\/li> - Execute test cases, validate results, and document defects/issues.
<\/li> - Track testing progress, defects, risks, blockers, and overall testing status.
<\/li> - Facilitate and manage test execution activities and testing cycles.
<\/li> - Collaborate with project teams to investigate and resolve testing issues.
<\/li> - Evaluate testing outcomes and recommend implementation readiness.
<\/li> - Prepare testing dashboards, metrics, reports, and stakeholder updates.
<\/li> - Support QA, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Release Testing.
<\/li> - Assist project teams utilizing AI\-enabled testing tools and automated testing solutions.
<\/li> - Participate in meetings and provide testing\-related status updates and recommendations.

Mandatory Qualifications

<\/li> - Or equivalent relevant experience

<\/h3>- 4+ years<\/b> coordinating testing activities with business users, BAs, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and vendors.
<\/li>- 4+ years<\/b> executing test cases, managing test data, validating results, and logging defects.
<\/li>- 4+ years<\/b> identifying testing issues and implementing process improvements.
<\/li>- 4+ years<\/b> preparing or supporting test plans and test cases.
<\/li>- 4+ years<\/b> supporting QA testing, UAT coordination, test execution, and defect lifecycle management.
<\/li>- 4+ years<\/b> supporting testing activities within SAP, ERP, procurement, finance, supply chain, or integrated enterprise systems.
<\/li>- 3+ years<\/b> tracking testing progress, defect metrics, risks, blockers, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
<\/li>- 1+ year<\/b> hands\-on experience testing Source\-to\-Pay (S2P)<\/b> processes, including:
- SAP Ariba Procurement Workflows
<\/li> - SAP S/4HANA Financial Integrations
<\/li> - Or similar ERP procurement solutions

- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
<\/li> - Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
<\/li> - SAP Fieldglass
<\/li> - Similar ERP procurement systems
<\/li><\/ul><\/li> - 4+ years<\/b> experience with:
- Smoke Testing
<\/li> - Unit Testing
<\/li> - System Testing
<\/li> - Integration Testing
<\/li> - Regression Testing
<\/li> - User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
<\/li><\/ul><\/li> - 2+ years<\/b> experience using:
- JIRA
<\/li> - Revision Control Systems (RCS)
<\/li><\/ul><\/li> - Understanding of ERP implementation lifecycles, testing methodologies, release management, and defect management processes.
