Test & Validation Engineering Yearlong Intern

We are seeking a Test & Validation Engineering Intern to support automotive radar validation activities across DV/PV programs. This role will assist with test evidence collection, measurement data organization, acquisition boxes and test bench readiness documentation, secondary surface evaluation support, simulation data organization, and validation report preparation. The intern will work closely with engineers, lab personnel, and project teams to help maintain structured records, track open actions, support technical documentation, and improve readiness for ongoing radar test activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support radar chamber and sample preparation documentation, including sample identification, sample measurements, test setup records, fixture information, and measurement readiness data.
  • Support secondary surface radar evaluation activities, including chamber measurement documentation, sample tracking, thickness measurement records, installation notes, material information, and related test evidence.
  • Assist with organizing secondary surface performance outputs such as attenuation plots, DOA error plots, heatmap results, radar field of view cut data, and measurement comparison summaries.
  • Support simulation related documentation by organizing radar range simulation outputs, attenuation inputs, RF simulation references, azimuth and elevation cut results, target type comparisons, and customer requested summary materials.
  • Assist with additive manufactured radar cover and secondary surface documentation, including material selection records, sample labeling, print identification, thickness data, measurement records, and installation reference notes.
  • Maintain Acquisition Box and test bench readiness documentation, including issue history logs, setup records, configuration notes, and knowledge transfer material.
  • Maintain weekly action item trackers, customer question trackers, and open point lists with owners, due dates, status updates, and closure evidence.
  • Track test data upload, transfer, and ingest status; identify missing, incomplete, or delayed datasets for engineer review.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable maintaining structured trackers, technical documentation, measurement records, and status logs.
  • Some programming and/or scripting exposure
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to support multiple validation activities.
  • Basic understanding of automotive electronics, validation testing, lab testing, engineering documentation, or data analysis concepts.
  • Valid driver’s license for vehicle logistics, service support, and pickup or drop off activities, where required.
  • Since this is a yearlong internship, you must be enrolled in a program for the duration of the internship.
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum Sophomore standing or higher
