This vacancy is for a GS-1801-13, THIRD PARTY OVERSIGHT COORDINATOR located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI INSPECTIONS DIVISION in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri.

You will serve as a THIRD PARTY OVERSIGHT COORDINATOR and be responsible for serving as a subject matter expert for auditing commercial vessels, operating companies, TPOs, and ROs. The position is also involved in discussions and meetings with other Coast Guard offices, TPOs, ROs, other flag states, other federal agencies, and other maritime organizations concerning the Coast Guard's oversight program Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serves as a subject matter expert for Coast Guard on statutory inspections and certificates conducted and issued by TPOs on behalf of the Coast Guard Leads activities in support of the Coast Guard's third party oversight programs, to include the observation of ISM audits of operating companies Leads the implementation of inspection policies and procedures for various entities related to third party oversight and alternate inspection programs Serves as a subject matter expert in conducting and leading inspections of all vessel systems to determine and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards Supports Coast Guard training by contributing to curriculum development and facilitating discussions and presentations related to the Coast Guard third party oversight programs Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Requests: If you believe you have a disability (i.e., physical or mental), covered by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended that would interfere with completing the USA Hire Competency Based Assessments, you will be granted the opportunity to request a RA in your online application.
