Toxicology Consultant
About Edison Scientific
Edison Scientific builds and commercializes AI agents for science. Scientific discovery moves too slowly, and autonomous AI agents are how we intend to fix that. We're assembling a team of top researchers and engineers across AI and biology to build an AI scientist.
The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Toxicology Consultant for a flexible, part-time engagement. You'll serve as the subject matter expert who defines the gold standard for AI-generated toxicology data and reports — ensuring our platform produces outputs that are scientifically accurate and regulatory-grade.
What You'll Do
Share how nonclinical tox work is actually done day-to-day — study reports, CRO data packages, IND module content — not the SOP version, the real version
Generate or review reference artifacts that define what correct looks like: IND-ready study reports, SEND datasets, repeat-dose tox summaries, safety pharmacology write-ups
Identify realistic sources of variance, inconsistency, or data corruption in nonclinical study data so our tools can be tested against real-world messiness
Design or review tasks for evaluating AI performance on tox-relevant activities
Score and critique AI-generated toxicology outputs: is this scientifically correct, would it pass review, what would you change before it went into an IND?
What We're Looking For
10+ years in nonclinical toxicology, OR direct involvement in 10+ IND-enabling tox programs
Deep experience synthesizing raw CRO study data into FDA-ready IND submissions
Hands-on familiarity with repeat-dose tox, safety pharmacology, genotoxicity, TK, and related GLP studies
Comfortable working with AI tools to evaluate and improve outputs
PhD preferred but not required — real-world IND experience is prioritized
