Trade Executive (Commodities Trading)
Job Description:
- Prepare and manage trade documentation for commodities trading, including contracts, invoices, bills of lading, and shipping documents
- Liaise with clients and maintain day-to-day business communication for trading activities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Shipping/Logistics teams) to ensure smooth execution of trade transactions
- Monitor shipment progress, including vessel nomination, loading, and discharge, to support contract fulfilment
- Review inspection reports at loading and discharge ports, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary
- Maintain proper documentation records and perform data consolidation and reporting
- Conduct market research and provide updates on commodities such as bauxite, coal, and iron ore
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Shipping, International Trade, Logistics, Mining, or related fields
- Prior experience in commodities trading, shipping, or trade operations is preferred
- Strong sense of responsibility, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and logical mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
