Job Summary – Trade Marketing Lead (Chile)

The Trade Marketing Lead is responsible for defining, leading, and executing the Trade Marketing strategy across Offline and Online retail channels in Chile. This role drives sustainable business growth by strengthening channel development, ensuring execution excellence at point of sale (physical and digital), accelerating the adoption of commercial tools, and building and developing high‑performing Trade Marketing teams. The position acts as a strategic connector between Sales, Marketing, E‑commerce, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver consistent brand and commercial impact across all retail touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the Trade Marketing strategy for physical retail and digital channels, aligned with business, brand, and go‑to‑market objectives in Chile.
  • Lead in‑store and online activation plans, including visibility, merchandising, promotions, pricing execution, and shopper initiatives.
  • Develop the Online channel (marketplaces, e‑retailers, and omnichannel execution), ensuring consistency in brand presence, content, assortment, and commercial execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities by channel, customer, and format through data analysis, shopper insights, and market trends.

Commercial Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Key Account Managers, and E‑commerce teams to maximize sell‑out performance, market share, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure effective execution of campaigns, product launches, and strategic initiatives at the point of sale.
  • Act as a Trade Marketing subject‑matter expert for key customers, building strong, consultative, long‑term relationships.

Tools, Processes & Data-Driven Execution

  • Lead and promote the adoption of Trade Marketing, retail execution, and reporting tools across Offline and Online channels.
  • Define, monitor, and optimize key Trade Marketing KPIs (e.g., sell‑in, sell‑out, execution quality, distribution, promotional ROI).
  • Standardize best practices, processes, and execution guidelines across channels and retail partners.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop Trade Marketing teams, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a mentor, strengthening strategic, analytical, and execution capabilities within the team.
  • Enable knowledge transfer and upskilling to reduce the learning curve and increase execution excellence across retail environments.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and Chilean retail market regulations.
  • Maintain structured planning, documentation, and execution discipline across all Trade Marketing activities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Retail, or related commercial roles.
  • Proven experience in Offline and Online channel development, ideally within the Chilean retail ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing cross‑functional initiatives.
