Trading/Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Familiar with procurement and supplier management processes; able to operate independently, with a basic ability to forecast raw material price trends, and a strong sense of cost awareness and value analysis.
- Develop chemical procurement plans based on the company's production/sales needs, inventory levels, and market price trends, specifying purchase volumes, timing, and budget allocation;
- Execute the full procurement order process, track supplier delivery progress, and ensure materials arrive on time, to specification, and cost-effectively;
- Establish and maintain procurement records and supplier ledgers to support supplier tiering and management.
- Coordinate sea freight, land transport, tank containers and other transport modes, arrange delivery, unloading, and on-site transport handover to ensure materials arrive safely and on time.
- Follow up on import/export customs clearance, documentation (bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin, etc.) and compliance procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Make preliminary assessments and follow-ups on product quality issues, coordinate with the quality team to complete inspections and explanations, and liaise with customers to facilitate cargo acceptance.
- Collect and analyze raw material prices, freight rates, and market supply-demand changes to provide data support for procurement strategy adjustments.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant working experience, candidates with integrated procurement-sales (trading) experience and import/ export trade experience are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Willing to travel occasionally within Southeast Asia (e.g., Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia).
