Job Summary:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>The Trainer \u2013 Employability Led Training will deliver\nstructured and inclusive training programs aimed at enhancing the employability\nskills of persons with disabilities (PwDs). This role involves preparing\nlearners for employment across various industry domains through effective\nfacilitation, mentoring, and skill\-building in communication, digital literacy,\nworkplace readiness, and domain\-specific competencies. The trainer will also\nensure that all teaching methods are adapted to meet the diverse needs of\nlearners with disabilities.<\/span>

Key\nResponsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Deliver employability and\n domain\-specific training sessions to youth with disabilities as per APD\u2019s\n curriculum.<\/span>
<\/li>- Facilitate interactive sessions in\n soft skills, digital literacy, workplace behavior, interview preparation,\n etc.<\/span>
<\/li>- Customize and adapt training\n content for various disability groups, ensuring accessibility and\n inclusion.<\/span>
<\/li>- Conduct regular assessments to\n monitor learner progress and readiness for employment.<\/span>
<\/li>- Maintain accurate training records,\n attendance, and progress reports.<\/span>
<\/li>- Support trainees in resume\n building, interview skills, and confidence development.<\/span>
<\/li>- Liaise with placement teams to\n align training with employer expectations.<\/span>
<\/li>- Collaborate with\n parents/caregivers and counselors to support the overall development of\n trainees.<\/span>
<\/li>- Participate in internal training of trainers\n(ToTs) and ongoing professional development.<\/span><\/span>

<\/p>- Report directly to the Operations\n Manager on training delivery, learner progress, and challenges within Livelihood\n Programs<\/span>
<\/li>- Ensure\n training delivery alignment with organizational goals, budget management,\n and operational protocols for the Livelihood Programs.<\/span>
<\/li>- Ensure transparency, ethical conduct, and full\ncompliance with the organization\u2019s standards and policies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Required\nQualifications:<\/span><\/b>
<\/div>- Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in\n Education, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.<\/span>
<\/li>- Minimum 1\u20134 years of experience in\n training, teaching, or facilitation, preferably with marginalized or\n special\-needs groups.<\/span>
<\/li>- Understanding of disability\n inclusion, basic sign language, and accessible teaching methods.<\/span>
<\/li>- Proficiency in Kannada and English\n (spoken and written); additional local languages preferred.<\/span>
<\/li>- Comfort with digital tools like MS\n Office, Zoom, and learning management platforms.<\/span>

Preferred\nQualifications (if any):<\/span><\/b>
<\/div>- Certification in Special\n Education, Employability Skills, or Inclusive Education.<\/span>
<\/li>- Prior experience in NGO or\n development sector projects focused on livelihoods or education.<\/span>
<\/li>- Exposure to skilling programs under CSR or\ngovernment schemes.<\/span>

Working\nConditions:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Based at APD\u2019s training center,\n with possible travel to satellite or outreach locations.<\/span>
<\/li>- Standard work hours with\n flexibility for occasional special sessions or reviews.<\/span>
<\/li>- Willingness to work in a field\-based setting\nwith direct interaction with PwDs.<\/span>
