Training Officer @ Upper Thomson
The Training Officer will be responsible for the daily training, care and services provided for SUN-DAC's clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Trains and assists adults with disabilities in ADLs (activities of daily living), CLSs (community living skills), and pre-vocational skills
- Attends to the personal needs of these adults and ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Completes and submits required documentation in a timely manner
- Works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide an individual care plan for each client
- Plans and proposes Programme Activity in the classroom as well as festive celebrations
- Liaises with and updates caregivers on the progress and status of clients, including conducting biannual Caregiver Staff Meeting
- Maintains organisational cleanliness and flow in a classroom setting
- Any other projects/duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education
- Minimum NITEC
- Certification in disability or senior care related field will be an advantage
Experience
- Experience in the social service sector or healthcare sector will be an advantage
Skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, caregivers, volunteers, and the public
- Self-directed and able to work independently
