Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have relevant AML experience within financial services, along with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The team you will be joining plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the organization by delivering high-quality client service and maintaining strong risk and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to sustaining high levels of client satisfaction. Acting as a Client Manager, they will provide oversight and support across a portfolio of local client relationships, both new and existing, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, risk management, and change initiatives.

In addition, the role will provide technical and operational leadership to the department, ensuring that case managers supporting AML process adhere to established policies and procedures. This includes promoting efficient, organized workflows and delivering best-in-class service to our clients.

Summary Of Key Functions

  • Conduct reviews of investor documentation to ensure AML requirements are met in accordance with established checklists, policies, and procedures

  • Liaise with clients and investors to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner

  • Respond to client and investor queries related to AML requirements, providing clear and accurate guidance

  • Monitor and action new and ongoing investor populations to ensure all AML reviews are completed within required timelines with appropriate prioritization and adherence to quality standards

  • Prepare and maintain routine client reporting, including AML logs and reporting on unauthorized or aged investor items for both client and internal stakeholders

  • Support board and client reporting requirements, including preparation of materials and presentations

  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients, managing queries and escalations in collaboration with Client Managers

  • Attend and support internal, client, and board calls for assigned relationships

  • Provide client-facing support during due diligence visits, sales presentations, and regulatory inspections

  • Provide oversight of case managers to ensure AML processes are executed in line with policies and required service standards

  • Lead or contribute to global team initiatives and project management activities

What you will be responsible for

As an Officer in the Transfer Agency AML Team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, representing the Investor Services AML function and State Street with professionalism and credibility

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality day-to-day client service, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and support investor AML-related initiatives

  • Act as a primary point of escalation for complex operational issues and client complaints, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with clients, case managers, and senior stakeholders.

  • Maintain accountability for the team’s control environment, ensuring key controls are effective and that processes operate in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable local AML legislation, with working knowledge of global AML regulatory frameworks

  • Drive the development, enhancement, and implementation of procedures to meet internal control standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations

  • Engage regularly with senior management, providing transparent updates on performance, process improvements, and client-related matters

  • Represent the function at relevant internal forums and meetings across State Street

  • Support and contribute to internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and client due diligence engagements

  • Actively participate in and lead departmental initiatives and projects, driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and scalability

  • Provide leadership and oversight to case managers, including regular performance check-ins, workload management, and ongoing coaching and development

  • Monitor and manage the timely completion of deliverables across the team, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and quality standards

  • Support recruitment and resourcing activities, ensuring effective team structure, utilization, and consideration of flexible working arrangements where appropriate

  • Maintain full accountability for the operational effectiveness of assigned client relationships, ensuring adherence to all applicable policies, procedures, and control requirements

  • Partner with senior management to deliver ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance and/or Business-Related area (minimum 2.2), or relevant working experience

  • ACAMS certification, or other AML qualification a benefit

  • 6-8 years Fund Administration experience (preferable in an Investor Services/Transfer Agency department) with at least 4 years people management experience

  • A strong understanding of relevant global AML regulations

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • Experience in working to tight deadlines, with an ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure

  • Experience in client relationship management is essential for this role

  • Good working knowledge of AML and regulations impacting the industry

Salary Range:

$67,000 - $109,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
