Transformation Communications Lead
The Transformation Communications Lead plays a central role in shaping and executing communication strategies that support Nokia's strategic transformation priorities and initiatives.
The role leads communication for major change initiatives across Nokia, helping key stakholders understand the rationale, objectives and impact of organisational transformation and company-wide priorities.
The role operates within Nokia's functional GMC model and works closely with transformation leaders, People, Strategy, Media and Industry Analyst Relations, as well as Customer and Internal Communications.
The individual translates complex programmes, organisational change and their implications into clear, compelling narratives that support Nokia's strategic priorities and business objectives.
The role keeps messaging connected and effective throughout the lifecycle of major initiatives, driving alignment across stakeholder groups and partnering across disciplines to support adoption and long-term business outcomes.
This position combines transformation and communication expertise with strategic thinking, business acumen, sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic global environment.
Transformation Communications
• Lead strategies that build understanding, alignment and adoption of major change initiatives across Nokia.
• Translate complex programmes, organisational changes and business priorities into clear, compelling messages for employees and stakeholders, connecting change initiatives to Nokia’s broader corporate communications approach.
• Develop messaging and engagement approaches that help employees and stakeholders understand Nokia’s strategic priorities and long-term business direction.
• Ensure transformation narratives are consistent with Nokia's broader corporate narrative.
Transformation, Crisis and Organisational Resilience
In addition to leading transformation communications, the role will strengthen Nokia’s organisational resilience by steering crisis communications preparedness and supporting cybersecurity awareness and response communications.
The role will act as a strategic partner to Corporate Communications, Security, People and business leaders to ensure Nokia’s issues management and crisis preparedness.
Crisis Communications, cybersecurity and Issues Management
• Provide strategic support to Nokia’s crisis communications preparedness ensuring timely, accurate and consistent communications during periods of disruption and uncertainty.
• Develop and maintain crisis and issues management communications playbooks, frameworks and response protocols.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to strengthen organisational cyber resilience through communication, awareness and preparedness activities.
Resource Orchestration and Ways of Working
• Operate within Nokia's functional GMC model, drawing on resources across the organisation to deliver integrated programmes that support transformation priorities.
• Build strong working relationships with transformation teams, People, Strategy, Security, business leaders, GMC and partner functions to ensure activities are aligned, coordinated and effectively executed.
You must have:
• Strong experience in transformation, change or internal communications within a global organisation.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that support large-scale transformation, organisational change or business transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to turn complex business and transformation topics into clear, compelling communications.
• Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement, with a good understanding of organisational change, business transformation and stakeholder engagement.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills across a range of formats and audiences.
• High personal discretion and the ability to operate effectively in complex and fast-moving environments.
• A confident and proactive approach to AI, using it to enhance research, accelerate content development, synthesise inputs and improve communication effectiveness.
It would be advantageous if you also had:
• Experience in technology, telecommunications, infrastructure or B2B technology sectors.
• Experience operating in a matrixed, global environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Background operating within a functional communications model.
