What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in an Associate’s Program strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Lived Experience (Required): Personal experience living with a mental health diagnosis, being in recovery from a substance use disorder, and/or having supported a loved one through a mental health diagnosis or substance use disorder.
Licensing & Driving Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
- Must maintain a clean driving record that aligns with the company’s driver eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
This position has primary responsibility for using their lived experience and knowledge of the system to provide outreach and engagement, support, and advocacy to Transition Age Youth and their families who need mental health services.
Division/Program Overview:
- IHOT team provides outreach and engagement services to disengaged TAY (transitional ages youth)
- Transitional Age Youth (TAY) from Ages 18-25 years.
- The IHOT team is comprised of a staff of peer advocates who use their lived experience to help them connect with disengaged youth.
- The team lead provides clinical oversight to this dedicated staff.
- Provided community-based services throughout Alameda County.
