We’re looking for a Translator to join our Linguistic Services team at our Montreal Refinery, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring clear, high-quality communication across the organization. If you’re passionate about language, quality, and collaboration, this is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a dynamic environment. This is a temporary one-year position.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant translation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Member of OTTIAQ, an asset
Responsibilities:
- Translate a variety of documents (finances, retail, marketing, human resources, etc.) from English to French using Trados
- Revise and proofread French texts
- Communicate with the requester, if required, to get some precisions on the mandate or the deadlines
- Manage and assign translation/revision requests using the translation management system
Location and other details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work at our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
