Within HDR, AD consists of collaborative delivery models such as Design-Build (DB) / Progressive Design-Build (PDB), Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC), Construction Manager-General Contractor (CMGC) / Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). %26nbsp;The individual will drive collaboration between HDR’s global power delivery staff and our construction teaming partners, focusing on technical bid development, estimating, and transitioning projects from pursuit to execution. The successful candidate should have a broad understanding of the technical risks inherent to transmission EPC projects within the utility, developer, renewable (medium/high voltage), battery energy storage system and/or data center markets.%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPrimary responsibilities include%5C:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EServe as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects. %26nbsp;Once project is awarded, transition management duties to Project Manager and execution team. %26nbsp; Ensure a clear transition of scope, schedule and budget expectations.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EIn collaboration with construction partners and HDR technical leads, facilitate discussion on technical risk analysis and mitigation, preliminary routing and design and bill-of-material takeoff support. %26nbsp;Offer value engineering and constructability solutions.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ELead HDR scope, schedule and budget development with a focus on activities and risks unique to AD projects (e.g. procurement support, construction support, critical path scheduling, etc.). %26nbsp;While this individual’s primary focus will be leading transmission line teams, coordination with land survey, geotechnical, distribution, substation, environmental, real estate and geographic information system (GIS) staff is also expected.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEstimate technical investments prior to the Go/No-Go discussion. %26nbsp;Risk evaluation will be shared with commercial, business development and operations leaders to determine if/how to pursue opportunities.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EResponsibilities include interfacing with construction contractors and HDR subconsultants during the pursuit and project while driving conversations on risk identification and mitigation.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAssist in Go/No-Go discussions, project risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, interviews, and negotiations as required.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAs AD program grows, work with power delivery and operations leadership to buildout front-end engineering and design (FEED) teams.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EServe in project technical leadership roles, including engineering manager, discipline lead, technical advisor, or other. %26nbsp;While this individual’s focus will be on FEED development and standing-up project teams, ongoing technical risk analysis will be required to determine if/when to “handoff” the project.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EWhen not involved in pursuits or projects, work with power delivery leadership to develop templates, standards, specifications, drawings, processes and procedures to support transmission line EPC pursuits and projects (e.g. design templates, model templates, basis of design standards, bill-of-material templates, foundation standards, scope templates, budget templates, schedule templates, etc.), including development and maintenance of a database. %26nbsp;Provide EPC best practice guidance to pursuit and project delivery teams.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ETeam development, mentorship and leadership, including Project Managers, Engineering Managers, discipline specific practitioners such as transmission site/civil, structural/foundation, distribution, environmental, real estate and GIS individuals.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPerform other duties as needed.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EReport to Alternative Delivery Director.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPreferred Qualifications%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProfessional Engineering License%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProject Management Professional (PMP)%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMinimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMinimum 5 years building and leading engineering teams on EPC projects.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, MFAD, and LPILE.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMinimum 5 years of experience developing engineering scope, schedule and budget estimates on EPC projects.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience developing EPC design and construction packages.%26nbsp;%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ESpecific experience performing all aspects of transmission line design, procurement and construction including%5C: Estimating, engineering design, procurement, and construction specifications, and detailed design and drawing development for transmission projects up to 500kV.%26nbsp;%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUnderstanding of transmission line routing, structure spotting, material selection, wire sagging, and foundation plans. %26nbsp;Has experience offering value engineering solutions that align with industry best practices while leading discussions with material vendors and subcontractors on such topics.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience optimizing pole design and foundation design.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience working with environmental, real estate and GIS teams.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong leadership skills and engineering management experience with multiple remote teams.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ESelf-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and collaboration skills.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProficient with Microsoft Office and conferencing platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Teams, etc.).%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPosition requires up to 20% travel.%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3E#LI-MB1,%26nbsp;*LI-MB1%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E
