Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel) in Clearlake, California. Begin 07/06/2026 for a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week across 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: Critical Access Hospital. This travel - temporary assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Location: Clearlake, CA, United States.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acuity levels.
- Administer medications, establish and maintain IV lines, interpret basic cardiac rhythms, and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory, radiology, and other care teams to implement treatment plans and coordinate transitions to inpatient floors or transfers.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety, privacy, and quality standards.
- Respond to emergent events (codes/crash calls), assist with resuscitation, and participate in patient flow optimization during high-volume periods.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs; adhere to facility policies and infection control practices.
- May float between ER and ICU as needed to support patient care and staffing needs.
Requirements
- Active California RN license in good standing
- 2 years of ER and/or ICU experience; travel or agency experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Ability to work 36 hours per week across 3x12-hour day shifts
- Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced ER environment and participate in patient handoffs and float coverage when necessary
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
