Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. Start date: 07/27/2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: 1,725 to 1,768 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Facility type: acute care hospital with a combined adult/pediatric ED and a separate psych area. This travel role requires a current RN license and approved mobility for travel; local candidates within 75 miles are not considered. EPIC charting is in use for documentation.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume ED serving neonates through geriatrics
- Perform triage, initial assessment, and rapid decision-making for diverse presentations
- Manage airway and provide ventilation support as needed; administer IV fluids and vasopressors
- Initiate and monitor invasive lines (including central lines) and assist with chest tube care
- administer blood products and coordinate with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Interpretation Services
- Recognize and respond to STEMI/Stroke and other time-sensitive conditions; oversee procedural sedation when indicated
- Stabilize patients, coordinate admissions/discharges, and ensure safe transitions of care
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC; adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- May be required to float within the ED service line; confirm at submission

Requirements
- Active RN license; MO license required (or eligibility/compact licensure as applicable); pending licenses accepted for some states per compliance rules
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, NIHSS, PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred
- Education: nursing degree from an approved program (not specified beyond standard RN requirements)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED with combined adult/pediatric and psych areas; EPIC experience required
- Local candidates within 75 miles will not be considered; ability to meet system-wide onboarding and compliance timelines
