Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Clearlake, California. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,892–$2,062. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour days (3x12). This travel assignment is in a hospital setting with ED responsibilities and potential cross-coverage in Med-Surg/ICU as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including initial assessment, triage, and continuous monitoring of acutely ill or injured patients
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and adjust as needed
- Stabilize patients and assist with procedures; collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and the multidisciplinary team
- Document patient status, treatments, and care plans in the electronic health record; maintain accurate vital signs, measurements, and discharge planning notes
- Support patient flow by coordinating with bed management and transfer teams; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate
- Uphold patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based practice; respond to emergencies per department protocols
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and/or PALS per department policy may be required
- Experience in emergency, acute care, med-surg, or ICU settings; ER or float experience preferred
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN accepted)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; flexibility to float to adjacent units as needed
