- Floating: Traveler will float to support patient care on other MS/Tele units as needed

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and maintain IV access; respond to clinical changes and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Unit Secretary, and Interpretation services to coordinate care
- Document in the Epic patient charting system; complete assessments, plan of care, progress notes, and discharge planning
- Respond to rapid responses and Code/Resuscitation events; participate in maintenance of patient safety and quality of care
- Apply isolation precautions and PPE; monitor infection control practices; manage care considerations for seizures, CVA, and substance withdrawal as applicable
- Support patient handoffs and shift-to-shift continuity of care; adapt to unit staffing and patient needs

Requirements
- NY RN license in hand to submit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Epic charting experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN Med-Surg/Telemetry experience; travel experience required
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Ability to float to other MS/Tele units as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown

Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) license; education level aligned with NY RN licensure requirements
