We are currently seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in occupational health, acute care, or emergency nursing to support a mining operation. This is a temporary full-time contract offering rotational coverage in an on-site occupational health setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary slightly depending on site requirements. Expectations will be reviewed during site-specific orientation. Duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • Provide on-site occupational and acute nursing care to mine workers
  • Conduct health assessments and respond to workplace injuries and medical emergencies
  • Perform drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Provide wound care and minor trauma management
  • Assess, monitor, document, and report changes in worker health status
  • Coordinate emergency response and liaise with local EMS when required
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic health records
  • Promote workplace health and safety initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Adhere to scope of practice as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries in an industrial environment

  • Proficient with electronic medical records and digital documentation systems
  • Ability to follow site safety policies and procedures


Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution (required)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (required)
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience (required)
  • Experience in Emergency, Acute Care, Occupational Health, or Industrial Nursing (preferred)
  • Certification in drug and alcohol testing (asset)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (asset)
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check


**ALL NECESSARY PPE WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE**

Salary: $75.00-$85.00

Schedule

  • Full-Time Contract
  • Day, evening, night shifts
  • Holidays
  • Weekends
