Treasury Liquidity Controller - Associate

As a Treasury Liquidity Controller - Associate within the EMEA Treasury team, you will be responsible for delivering liquidity reporting and quality assurance for TCIO EMEA.

This is an opportunity to join the TCIO Liquidity Controllers team based in Bangalore. The team is responsible for EMEA TCIO liquidity reporting and quality assurance.

Job responsibilities

  • Deliver liquidity reporting for TCIO EMEA, including daily, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reporting (e.g., 6G, US LCR, NSFR, FR Y-15).
  • Perform controls and reconciliations for collateral, money markets, and other funding management positions impacting liquidity reporting.
  • Analyze variance drivers and communicate impacts to Liquidity Risk Oversight, Liquidity Management, Location Treasury, and other partner groups.
  • Execute quality assurance testing for EMEA regional liquidity reporting across all lines of business.
  • Partner with TCIO regional controller teams in NA and APAC to provide transparency on funding changes, new initiatives, period-over-period variances, and forecasts.
  • Participate in projects and strategic initiatives impacting liquidity reporting (e.g., NBIAs, system migrations, LRI monthly release agenda), including impact analysis, requirements definition, and UAT/regression testing.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance global consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with front office, middle office, technology, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled delivery.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • General understanding of a bank’s balance sheet and an interest in learning how the bank funds itself
  • 3 years of experience with experience in Liquidity reporting role, should have good knowledge on Banking products like Investment securities, Money Markets, Repos and FX
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong analytics, creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently using initiative and ability to manage your own work

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (mainly MS Excel), knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx will be an added advantage
  • Educated to degree level (preferably in business, economics, finance or accounting), qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) would be a plus.
