Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to join a transformation-focused team managing risk and treasury functions across APAC and China. You will support funding, working capital, and bank relationships while ensuring compliance with BMW Group’s risk and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess pricing, availability, and suitability of funding instruments including Money Market Products, Bank Loans, Deposits, Foreign Exchange Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, and Commodity Derivatives to ensure compliance with BMW Group guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Research emerging financial market trends, regulatory changes, and digitalization developments to propose and implement treasury efficiency solutions
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external bank partners to secure optimal treasury services in relevant markets
  • Act as the primary Treasury Relationship Manager for one or more APAC countries, serving as the single point of contact for treasury-related topics and supporting National Sales and Financial Services Companies
  • Negotiate and influence tailored treasury solutions for BMW Group entities, maintaining strong counterparty links with panel banks and local country banks as needed
  • Apply strategic thinking and sound business judgment to drive treasury initiatives and adapt to dynamic, volatile business environments
  • Communicate and present treasury matters effectively in English to diverse stakeholders

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Ability to converse in one Asian language (job-related reason not specified)
  • Knowledge of commodities markets
  • University Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
  • Minimum 5-7 years of treasury experience within multinational corporations or equivalent experience in financial markets with financial institutions
  • Self-starter with results orientation and capability to drive change through digital innovations applicable to treasury
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, volatile, and ambiguous business environments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in English
