What you’ll do:

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Primary point of contact for patient inquiries. Clinical triage and assessment by receiving and managing incoming patient calls, performing standardized telephone triage within clinical scope.
  • Postoperative Patient Management by serving as a key resource for postoperative neurosurgery and physiatry patients, addressing questions related to wound care, activity restrictions, medication management, and expected recovery milestones.
  • Identify signs and symptoms of postoperative complications requiring escalation. Coordinate urgent evaluations and imaging as directed by the medical team.
  • Provides clear, patient-centered education regarding diagnoses, surgical procedures, preoperative preparation, postoperative expectations, medication instructions, and when to seek emergency care.
  • Pre operative management via chart review to ensure efficient booking of OR cases and to comply with the standards of the hospital and surgery center.
