The Planet Group is looking for a Chemistry UAS Pilot 1 to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-months contract, working an onsite/hybrid schedule from Jackson, MI.

The Planet Group is looking for a Chemistry UAS Pilot 1 to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-months contract, working an onsite/hybrid schedule from Jackson, MI.
UAS Pilot 1 | Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and FAA Part 107 License Required.
- Associate's degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of UAS operation and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret and follow flight plans.
- Strong attention to detail for data collection and reporting.
- Good communication skills for reporting findings to supervisors.
- Basic understanding of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct BVLOS drone-in-a-box operations from our Drone Operations Center. Operate UAS for routine inspections of utility infrastructure such as power lines, pipelines, and substations.
- Conduct pre-flight checks and ensure all equipment is in working order.
- Collect and report data on infrastructure conditions.
- Assist in maintaining UAS equipment and performing minor repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements during operations.
