UI Artist
Responsibilities:
- Develop game UI, including reworking existing screens and elements and creating new ones, in accordance with the project’s visual style
- Gather and clarify required project information when necessary
- Create all the necessary UI graphics in a given visual style
- Provide accurate time estimates and deliver results within agreed deadlines
- Collaborating with UX Designers, producers and game designers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
- Implement UI into the game, working closely with the Engineering and Tech Art teams
Requirements
- Ability to work across various visual styles and create game UI aligned with a specified art direction
- Understanding of AAA-quality standards for UI
- Proficiency with UI design tools (Figma) and raster graphics software (Photoshop)
- Understanding of cross-platform games UI/UX specific
- Basic experience with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.), including asset preparation, slicing, and implementation
- Ability for cross-department communication. Describe UI needs to developers, managers etc.
- English level - above Intermediate
Nice to have:
- Ability to create and edit UI animations (After Effects; in-engine animation is a plus)
- Knowledge of the latest trends in games UI
- AAA games UI experience
- Ability to create and present interactive prototypes in Figma
- Understanding of a design system approach
- Familiarity with the version control software.
