POSITION SUMMARY:
MARSHALLTOWN U.S.A. LTD is seeking an experienced U.K. Sales Director with experience in hand tool sales and account management with major U.K. retailers. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining sales activity and strategic relationships with key U.K. customers. The role works directly with merchant teams and coordinates all selling-related responsibilities and activities. This role will provide input to the development of annual and long-range sales/marketing plans as well as strategic plans pertaining to advertising, sales promotions, merchandising concepts, etc. as they relate to profitable program maintenance and selling major accounts. The U.K. Sales Director should have a “customer first” mentality while delivering on company sales objectives, profitability goals, and striving to optimize efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead account management for major U.K. retailers and key U.K. accounts, establishing a best-in-class program for the customer and MARSHALLTOWN.
- Develop sales plans with input from the Director of International Sales and implement in a timely and cost-efficient manner to exceed customer expectations.
- Develop relationships with the buying and support teams that facilitate trust and open dialogue.
- Lead MARSHALLTOWN’s team in the U.K. and develop close relationships with the internal team in the U.S.
- Lead negotiations for Rebates, SBA’s, Price Increases, and Fines with customers.
- Collaborate with customers, MARSHALLTOWN’s internal team, and MARSHALLTOWN U.K. operations to determine accurate forecasting and inventory availability.
- Identify opportunities at existing and new customers for growth in the U.K. market.
- Monitor and communicate market trends and competitor activity to support MARSHALLTOWN’s strategy in the U.K.
- Provide regular reviews of sales metrics and overall activities to senior leadership and customers.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to requests from buyers and other stakeholders internally and externally for information and assistance.
- Other duties and project work as assigned.
