What we’re looking for
The Unit Clerk will perform administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area.
How you’ll contribute
Greet patients and visitors.
Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
Enter nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse.
Ask for clarification when necessary.
Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Assemble and maintain patient records and charts.
Perform needed clerical tasks, such as copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies.
Assist RNs and physicians with other patient activities as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate’s degree Preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Schedule: Full Time
