Utilities Engineer
About the Role
Ryobi Geotechnique International Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Utilities Engineer to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting various projects with a focus on utilities mapping and management. You’ll collaborate with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal colleagues, including site supervisors and the reporting team, to ensure that all utility-related activities meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise Subcontractors: Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely project completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor Utilities and M&E Works: Ensure that utilities and mechanical & electrical works meet statutory requirements, construction procedures, and safe work practices.
- Identify and Resolve Issues: Manage system failures and oversee preventative maintenance to keep operations smooth.
- Engage with Utility Agencies: Collaborate with utility agencies to update construction site progress, address utility damages, or handle unknown services.
- Coordinate with Construction Teams: Liaise between utility agencies and construction teams on excavation works, service diversions, and reinstatement tasks near underground utility services.
- Compile Data and Monitor Efficiency: Collect data on utility process units, track system efficiency, and monitor energy and material usage.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity
- Candidate with MRT project experienced is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, utility agencies, and internal teams
- Proficiency in engineering software such as CAD and AutoCAD
