Utility Engineer
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage utility diversion and protection works for roadwork projects to ensure timely and compliant execution
- Liaise with LTA, utility agencies (PUB, SP Group, etc.), consultants, and subcontractors to coordinate services and resolve issues efficiently
- Implement appropriate measures to protect services and utilities during construction activities
- Supervise and coordinate site work for excavation, ERSS, and TBM tunnelling to maintain safety and quality standards
- Adopt and enforce safe work procedures to prevent damage to services/utilities, especially during excavation works
- Review utility drawings, service plans, and method statements to verify accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design coordination with infrastructure requirements
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in utility coordination and diversion works within the construction industry
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with LTA specifications, procedures, and submission processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to work a 6-day work week and shifts during critical project phases
- Availability to be stationed at the project site office
