Utility Worker

Key Responsibilities:



  • Sweep and mops floor once every hour as needed.

  • Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on the conveyor to dishwashing machine. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.

  • Washes worktables, walls refrigerators, and meat blocks.

  • Removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers or areas.

  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.

  • Set up banquet tables when required.

  • Puts away all clean utensils; puts away & rotates stock in designated areas.

  • Other duties assigned.

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.

  • Strain/change all deep fry oil as required.

  • Clean and sanitize all food storage areas, walk in fridges, freezers, ovens, freestanding hot and cold boxes and dry storage areas.

  • Store all clean articles in the correct areas.

  • Polish chafing dishes for banquet, BBQ functions and prepare stations as required.

  • Ensure all access and traffic areas are clear and clean.

  • Keep all equipment in the food and beverage areas are in good condition. Report any breakdowns in equipment to management.
