V- General Events Support Team Member

Ongoing Event Team Members are key in supporting these various events throughout the year. Along with their regular activity of connecting with the community and practical assistance with set up and pack down of the event equipment and resources, ongoing Event Team Members are important supports for other volunteers who join events on a once off/short term basis.
Key responsibilities:
With the support and guidance of the Team Leader, assist with the preparation of the event, ensuring signage and other equipment is set out according to plan.
Ensure everything is set up in ample time for the commencement of the shift. And that pack up is completed at the end of the shift.
During the event, use your friendly and approachable communication skills to engage community members. Ensure areas are clean & tidy during and after the event.
Model and contribute to creating a positive and caring atmosphere among both the team and for community participants attending the event.
Ensure WHS policy and procedures are adhered to at all times
Qualifications and skills (desired/required):
Experience in engaging community members is desired
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Background check requirements:
Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation. Time Required & Commitment:
Generally shifts will be weekday between 8;30am-5pm

Development opportunities with this role:
This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in event-based activities, as well as connecting with community members.
