We’re looking for a Vendor Governance Specialist to join us at Telia.

I am Olegas Matiušovas, Hiring Manager, leading the SAP Governance and Compliance team within Telia Group IT. We are strengthening our governance capabilities and are looking for a expert who will take end-to-end ownership of vendor, contract, and financial governance across key platforms, with a strong focus on SAP.

This role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of vendor governance, covering contracts, licenses, audits, financial controls, and planning activities.
The role acts as a governance owner and subject-matter expert, working closely with procurement, finance, legal, SAP technical teams, and auditors to ensure compliant, cost-efficient, and well-governed operations.

What you’ll do

  • Own and govern vendor contracts for major platforms and service providers, primarily SAP, and supporting other strategic vendors (Tier‑1 vendors).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractual governance, including commercial terms, renewals, amendments, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation.
  • Own and coordinate audits related to SAP licenses and other external audits, vendor compliance.
  • Act as the primary governance contact for external auditors, SAP reviews, and internal audit activities within the IT scope.
  • Ensure audit findings are tracked, remediated, and documented in collaboration with technical, financial, and legal stakeholders.
  • Own financial governance for the unit’s purchases, including purchase orders (POs), major acquisitions, and consolidated vendor spend where applicable.
  • Own and maintain the SAP license inventory, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with contractual entitlements.
  • Govern SAP license keys management, including request, distribution, control, and documentation.
  • Act as the central governance owner for SAP licensing topics, supporting compliance, optimization, and audit readiness.
  • Support PI Planning and related governance activities, ensuring vendor, license, and financial implications are considered early.
  • Collaborate closely with SAP delivery teams, finance, procurement, legal, security, and audit functions.

What will help you thrive in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience in vendor governance, contract management, or platform governance, ideally in a large enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of SAP licensing models and enterprise software contracts.
  • Experience supporting audits, license reviews, and financial governance activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical, commercial, and financial areas.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and governance-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English.

Monthly salary range for this position – 3100 - 4000Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
