Role Summary
- As a Vendor Master Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Baxter’s global vendor records. This position offers the opportunity to work at the center of our Procure‑to‑Pay process, supporting compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the business. You’ll collaborate with Procurement, IT, Finance, and global teams to implement Baxter’s vendor master data strategy, while gaining valuable exposure to international tax reporting and governance practices.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of Baxter’s global vendor master data environment, ensuring vendor creation, changes, and deactivations are accurate and compliant.
- Contribute to the rollout of Baxter’s vendor master data strategy, standards, and improvement initiatives.
- Strengthen internal controls and support SOX compliance, safeguarding the integrity of vendor data.
- Partner with global teams as countries and sites transition into Baxter Business Services.
- Review and refine vendor master policies to reflect evolving market, company, and industry practices.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and present solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in vendor master data, Procure‑to‑Pay processes, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of P2P processes, systems, and policies.
- Expertise in master data management best practices, including governance, policies, and technologies.
- Knowledge of global vendor tax reporting requirements.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and promote process improvements.
- Experience in change management, with the ability to guide and train internal customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage priorities and deliver results.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk, apply quality standards, and provide root‑cause analysis.
- Solid knowledge of financial systems and business acumen.
