Venture Investor

You will source and evaluate investment opportunities across early-stage to growth companies, develop investment theses based on market research, and conduct thorough due diligence. You will build financial models and valuations, prepare investment memos and presentations, and support portfolio companies on strategy and business development. You will monitor portfolio performance and track key metrics, and regularly engage with founders, co-investors, and internal stakeholders to drive deals forward.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem participants to develop a strong sourcing network
  • Develop investment theses through deep research into emerging market trends
  • Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence and contribute to the team’s overall investment judgment
  • Perform financial analysis including building financial models, valuations, comparable analysis, cap table and waterfall modeling
  • Prepare and present investment memos and pitch decks for new and follow-on investments
  • Support portfolio companies on corporate strategy, business development, and other high-priority initiatives
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and track key metrics
  • Pitch in on various firm related projects
  • Lead deal processes from sourcing through execution (for senior candidates)
  • Drive investment theses and sector coverage areas (for senior candidates)
  • Serve as a key point of contact for founders, co-investors, and internal stakeholders (for senior candidates)
  • Mentor junior team members and help shape team processes (for senior candidates)

Requirements

  • Associate: 2+ years of relevant experience
  • VP: 5+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated investment judgment and deal ownership
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Prior venture capital or growth equity investing experience preferred or 2-3+ years at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or tech company
  • Strong interest and domain knowledge in crypto, fintech, and software ecosystems
  • Strong quantitative skills including financial modeling (DCF, LBOs, cap tables, liquidation waterfalls) and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and emerging AI tools
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
  • Tireless work ethic and dedication to supporting founders
