Vice President 1-Business Leader-Leadership and Management

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery across life and annuities operations (new business, policy admin, claims, etc.) with a continuous focus on efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Define and execute operational strategies aligned with client expectations and future-state process innovation goals.
  • Partner with global leadership to deploy automation, AI/ML tools, and digital accelerators across high-impact workflows (e.g., straight-through processing, claims triage, customer query automation).

Digital Transformation & Innovation

• Champion the implementation of digital solutions (RPA, AI chatbots, cognitive document processing, etc.) to modernize service delivery and reduce turnaround times.

• Drive AI enablement in teams, fostering a culture of data fluency, predictive analytics usage, and continuous innovation.

• Partner with internal tech teams and external vendors to identify, pilot, and scale next-gen technologies that support business KPIs.

Client Management

• Own senior-level client relationships and steer digital transformation roadmaps with measurable outcomes.

• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and innovation showcases to reinforce value delivered through digitization and automation.

Compliance & Quality Oversight

• Ensure compliance with global and local insurance regulatory bodies.

People & Leadership Development

• Build and lead a high-performing leadership bench that embraces digital-first thinking.

• Provide strategic coaching to operations managers and train teams on using AI-enhanced tools effectively.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage the P&L for the account, balancing efficiency from automation with workforce investments.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in BPO, with 5+ years managing insurance operations.

• Proven success in deploying AI/RPA/digital tools in operational teams with measurable impact.

• Strong knowledge of life and annuities insurance workflows and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent executive presence and ability to influence across global, cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Certifications in LOMA, LIMRA, FLMI, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with low-code platforms, intelligent document processing (IDP), NLP/AI models, and insurance platforms like Guidewire or Duck Creek.

• Experience leading AI-readiness assessments or digital transformation workshops with client
