Vice President of Fleet Management
Job Summary:
The Vice President of Fleet Management provides executive leadership for the acquisition, maintenance, compliance and disposal of all fleet assets. This position will optimize lifecycle costs, drive sustainability initiatives and ensure absolute safety across all operations. Additionally, this position will contribute to high-level strategic decision-making with other company leaders.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic Leadership: Develops long-term asset lifecycle strategies, budgeting, and capital planning.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensures fleet & equipment meets all federal, state, and local regulatory mandates.
- Vendor Management: Negotiates contracts for parts, fuel, telematics and maintenance providers, manages procurement, and handles relationships with parts and service providers.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with ownership and senior leadership as well as front-line management and teammates.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills: Capacity to identify operational issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
- Project and time management: Skill in managing multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently.
- Ensure fleet license plates, renewals and additions, as well as titles are purchased, issued and accounted for.
- Ensure MCS-150 filings and UCR filings are completed.
- Maintain company asset list.
- Responsible for fuel tracking and reporting.
