Videographer / Gaffer & Grip / Photographer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative, reliable, and highly skilled Videographer to join our growing production team, primarily serving the corporate video market. This is a hands-on, on-set role suited for a visual storyteller who has trained in a film school environment and understands what it takes to work professionally on a crew.

You will be part of a collaborative team producing high-quality branded and corporate video content — from talking-head interviews and internal communications to full-scale commercial productions. Whether you are behind the camera, rigging lights, or gripping on set, you bring a crew-first mentality and a strong foundation in filmmaking practice.

Fresh graduates from film school or polytechnic film/media programmes are welcome to apply, provided you have real on-set experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Videography

• Operate video cameras to capture main footage, B-roll, and interviews across corporate and branded productions.

• Execute camera movements, angles, and framing that support the project's narrative in close collaboration with the Director or DOP.

• Maintain visual consistency throughout the shoot, including exposure, white balance, and framing continuity.

• Monitor audio levels when required and flag technical issues promptly.

2. Camera Assistant

• Assist with building, balancing, and breaking down camera packages (both cinema and mirrorless systems).

• Manage on-set media safely, including timely offloading and secure storage of digital assets.

• Handle lens changes, battery management, and keep all camera equipment clean and organised.

• Pull focus or manage the slate/clapperboard when supporting another DOP or camera operator.

3. Gaffer / Grip (Lighting & Rigging)

• Set up, adjust, and operate lighting fixtures to achieve the desired mood and exposure.

• Handle grip equipment securely, including light stands, C-stands, flags, nets, diffusers, and rigging systems.

• Ensure lighting continuity across scenes and collaborate with the camera team to shape light and control shadows.

• Safely load, unload, and transport lighting and grip gear; identify and mitigate on-set hazards related to cables, tripods, and rigging.

4. Photography

• Capture high-quality still images for commercial, social media, and community-based campaigns when required.

• Adapt to different photography styles — portraits, lifestyle, event coverage, and product shoots.

• Ensure optimal framing, composition, and exposure that align with the creative brief.

5. Equipment & Wrap

• Support pre-shoot prep, equipment checks, and the full strike and wrap-down of all production setups.

• Promptly report any equipment issues or damages to the lead producer or DOP.

• Physically handle, transport, and operate production equipment safely on all shoot days.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Film, Media Production, Cinematography, or a related discipline from a recognised institution (e.g., Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, NAFA, LASALLE, or equivalent).

• Graduation from a film school or polytechnic film/media programme is required.

Experience & Skills

• Fresh graduates are welcome — on-set experience during school productions, internships, or short-term contracts counts.

• Strong working knowledge of professional camera systems (DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras) and accessories including gimbals and monitoring solutions.

• Solid understanding of cinematography principles: composition, colour, and exposure.

• Familiarity with the corporate video production environment — understanding client-facing shoots, tight timelines, and professional conduct on set.

• Experience working as part of a crew, including understanding of on-set hierarchy, communication, and role responsibilities.

• Basic proficiency in lighting setups and clean audio capture.

• Physically fit and able to handle and transport production equipment safely.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience on corporate video, commercial, or branded content shoots.

• Comfortable in a team-oriented production environment serving corporate clients.

• Calm, professional, and safety-conscious on set.

• Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.

• Positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and grow within a production team.

• Comfortable working long hours or irregular shoot schedules when required.

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: Project-based / 12 months (depending on project needs)

• Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

• Renewal: Subject to performance and production requirements

• Working Arrangement: Fully on-site; shoot-based schedules apply
