VisionPLUS CMS Tester | API & Automation

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced VisionPLUS Tester specializing in the CMS module to join our technology team. In this role, you will design, execute, and automate comprehensive test scenarios for VisionPLUS-based applications, ensuring robust quality, reliability, and performance in a fast-paced financial services environment. Your expertise in end-to-end testing, API validation, and test automation will drive continuous improvement in system quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Software Requirements

  • Required Software Proficiency:

    • VisionPLUS (5–8 years hands-on with CMS module)

    • API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar

    • Test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, UFT, or similar)

    • SQL (complex queries and data validation)

    • Defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, or similar)

    • Strong grasp of SDLC/STLC and modern software testing methodologies

  • Preferred Software Skills:

    • Familiarity with Agile testing practices

    • Experience in banking or financial services

    • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

    • Basic scripting or programming (Java, Python, Shell)

Overall Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end and regression testing of VisionPLUS applications, focusing on the CMS module

  • Design, develop, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and automated test frameworks based on evolving business requirements

  • Conduct API testing for system integration using tools like Postman or Rest Assured

  • Identify, log, and track defects, collaborating with developers for prompt resolution and retesting

  • Analyze requirements and actively participate in requirement-gathering, test planning, and execution sessions

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality releases through functional, integration, and automation testing

  • Document best practices and maintain clear, up-to-date test documentation and execution reports

  • Support process improvement, compliance, and innovation within QA activities

Technical Skills (By Category)

  • Programming Languages & Scripting:

    • Required: SQL (data validation, reporting)

    • Preferred: Java, Python, or Shell (automation scripting)

  • Databases/Data Management:

    • Essential: Oracle or SQL Server for QA/data validation

    • Preferred: Familiarity with data masking, ETL, or migration testing

  • Frameworks & Libraries:

    • Essential: Selenium, UFT, or other test automation frameworks

    • Preferred: Framework development for regression automation

  • Development Tools & Methodologies:

    • JIRA, HP ALM, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab CI (for test & defect management, CI/CD integration)

    • Required: SDLC/STLC understanding, Agile test cycles (preferred)

  • Security Protocols:

    • Awareness of data privacy, secure test data management, and regulatory compliance (PCI DSS/ISO if in banking domain)

Experience Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience as a VisionPLUS Tester, with significant specialization in the CMS module

  • Established track record designing, automating, and executing test cases for VisionPLUS applications

  • Demonstrated expertise in API and end-to-end UI/system testing

  • Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred

  • Proven contribution to automated QA pipelines and CI/CD integration

  • Experience in Agile teams and SCRUM ceremonies preferred

  • Alternative pathways: Substantial domain expertise and hands-on VisionPLUS CMS testing responsibility in major technology projects

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Analyze requirements and develop robust manual and automated test cases

  • Set up and execute API and integration tests for CMS module functions

  • Proactively identify defects, log issues, and follow up to resolution

  • Conduct daily test execution, deliver clear test reports/dashboards, and communicate quality metrics

  • Lead defect triage meetings and engage in sprint planning/retrospectives

  • Collaborate with development, BA, and infrastructure teams to optimize testing coverage and efficiency

  • Maintain and enhance automated test suites and tools

  • Support release cycles and post-release validation for critical application updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Professional software testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are advantageous

  • Ongoing training in new test automation tools or VisionPLUS product updates is encouraged
