VoIP Softswitch & NOC Technician & Delivery (India)

Signalmash is a telecommunications provider delivering high-quality voice services and carrier-grade solutions. We’re looking for an experiencedVoIP Softswitch & NOC Technicianto join our technical operations team in India.

In this role, you’ll be at the core of our voice infrastructure, managing our Class 4 softswitch platform, establishing and maintaining carrier interconnections, and ensuring network performance and reliability during US business hours.

What You’ll Do
  • Configure and manage Class 4 softswitch routing, including LCR optimization and traffic management

  • Configure and maintain billing and rating systems for accurate call processing and invoicing

  • Set up and manage interconnections with customers, carriers, and vendor partners

  • Analyze PCAPs using Wireshark/tcpdump to diagnose call quality, routing, and protocol issues

  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and call quality through NOC tools

  • Create, manage, and resolve trouble tickets, coordinating with customers and vendors

  • Test and validate new routes and trunks for correct call flow and audio quality

  • Troubleshoot SIP signaling, media path, codec, and connectivity issues

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and interconnection specs

  • Respond to alerts/alarms to minimize disruptions and maintain SLAs

  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage


Requirements

  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Class 4 softswitch platforms

  • Experience withPeerEdge by 46 Labsstrongly preferred, or similar platforms (SipNav, DeNova Labs, Veriswitch, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, OpenSIPS)

  • Proven experience configuring routing, billing, and rating systems

  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols: SIP, RTP, RTCP, SDP

  • Proficiency with packet capture/analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, networking fundamentals, and QoS

  • Experience diagnosing codec issues, latency, jitter, and packet loss

  • Familiarity with firewalls, NAT traversal, and SBCs

  • Experience with NOC ticketing systems and procedures

  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

Preferred

  • Experience with CDR analysis and fraud detection/prevention

  • Knowledge of SS7, ISUP, or TDM-to-IP gateways

  • Scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation

  • Relevant industry certifications (Cisco, Juniper, VoIP-specific)

  • Experience in a carrier / wholesale telecom environment
