Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator supports KVH’s community engagement efforts by coordinating a well-organized, welcoming, and compliant volunteer program. This position recruits, trains, schedules, supports, and recognizes volunteers who assist with hospital operations, patient services, and community engagement activities.
This role serves as an important connection point between KVH, volunteers, employees, patients, families, and the broader community. The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with department leaders, the Community Engagement team, and Human Resources to ensure volunteers are placed effectively, properly prepared, supported in their roles, and held to KVH expectations for professionalism, confidentiality, safety, service excellence, and compliance.
The Volunteer Coordinator demonstrates excellent customer service and professional communication in all interactions with volunteers, employees, managers/supervisors, physicians, patients, patient family members, and community partners.
Part-time positions are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off and participate in the retirement plan.
