VP of Advanced Practice Providers
University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to provide strategic, operational, and professional leadership for APP practice across UMP. This role is accountable for advancing high-quality, consistent APP practice; optimizing APP deployment and care models; and strengthening engagement, development, and retention across the APP workforce.
Positioned at the vice president level, this role operates within UMP with clear accountability for APP practice oversight while partnering closely with physicians, operational, and system stakeholders. The VP serves as the primary leader for APP practice within UMP and is a key contributor to broader system alignment efforts.

We’re Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
- A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
- Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP’s).
- Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- 10 years of clinical leadership, with at least 5 years leading APP teams
- Experience managing APP teams across multiple sites and specialty areas/service lines

The full-time salary range is $202,000 - $313,000 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
