VP Regional Operations - Health System Specific Network
Job Summary
Lead a highly customized, customer-facing distribution network supporting major health systems across the U.S.This role oversees a portfolio of complex, dedicated distribution operations—each uniquely designed to support individual healthcare systems. You will drive performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and scale a network that is critical to delivering healthcare products where and when they are needed most.

Own a mix of stable, high-performing sites and newer operations where you will build structure and routines
Scope & Impact
Oversight of multiple smaller to midsize, complex distribution facilities
Each location is typically dedicated to a specific health system with unique service requirements
Sites may include automation (e.g., pick modules, conveyor systems), but designs vary
Lead a team of Directors of Operations (each site led locally)
Travel ~50–75% across the network
Flexible location (not required to be based at corporate HQ)
What You’ll Do
Lead operational performance across all sites, ensuring delivery against service, cost, and quality KPIs
Build consistency and standard operating rhythms across highly customized operations
Partner directly with customers on service design, issue resolution, and long-term planning
Support new customer implementations and expansion efforts in partnership with Sales
Drive continuous improvement and scalability across the network
Develop and coach site leaders, building strong, accountable leadership teams
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Oversee capital planning and infrastructure needs across locations
What You Bring
10+ years of leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations
Experience leading multi-site operations through senior leaders (Director level and above)
Strong track record in customer-facing operations and complex service environments
Ability to operate in a matrixed, highly customized business model
Critical Experience (Highly Valued)
Experience in healthcare supply chain OR supporting hospital/health system operations
Ability to engage credibly with hospital supply chain leadership (not just traditional distribution experience)
Experience operating in customized or contract-based logistics environments
Preferred
Background working in or supporting health systems, healthcare distribution, or clinical supply chains
Experience integrating or operating across different WMS platforms and operating models
Exposure to automation or engineered warehouse environments

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$234,000.00 - $351,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
