Job Description

  • Execution & Order Management: Manage and execute block trades, algorithmic orders, and high-touch equity and equity-related products with a strong focus on minimizing market impact and achieving optimal execution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as primary point of contact for institutional clients (both long-only funds and hedge funds), providing high-quality execution coverage and maintaining trusted relationships.
  • Market Insight & Commentary: Deliver timely, actionable market intelligence, technical readings, and flow commentary to clients throughout the trading session.
  • Post-Trade & Operations: Collaborate closely with Middle Office, onboarding, and operation teams to ensure smooth post-trade processing, FIX connectivity management, and swift resolution of settlement discrepancies.
  • Risk & Compliance: Adhere strictly to regulatory requirements, exchange rules, and internal compliance/risk management guidelines across all trading activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales Trading or Execution Trading on the sell-side.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various equity and equity-related products, including cash equities, derivatives (options, futures, swaps), ETFs and private equity funds.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, trading dynamics, market microstructure, algorithmic execution strategies (specifically across Pan-Asian markets, including SGX and Bursa Malaysia) and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. SFC, HKMA, MAS guidelines etc)
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with advanced Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS) , and electronic trading infrastructure.
  • Licensing: Must possess or be qualified to hold the relevant regulatory trading licenses required for institutional execution.
  • Client Focus: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, ability to thrive and make sharp decisions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
