VP, Team Manager, P4, Risk, Regulatory & Resilience : Job Level - Vice President
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The current opening is for an Officer level position (Vice President) and requires the following responsibilities to be undertaken from the successful candidate:
> Demonstrate a good understanding of risk issues, initiatives, and the risk landscape.
> Support Operational Risk Governance and Reporting including but not limited to internal incidents, audit/ inspection findings, issues & actions etc.
> Review internal risk incidents and liaising with various functional lines to ensure complete and accurate information is captured including what went wrong, impact types, control failures and action plans.
> Conducting thematic analysis on risk, control, root causes from incidents, audit/ inspection findings across Operations and identifying lessons learned.
> Identifying control gaps and remediation; developing risk/ control framework and best practices.
> Lead, develop and coordinate and Risk & Control self-assessments.
> Escalating any identified/ perceived risk issues to senior management where appropriate
> Management Risk Reporting, liaising and engagement with senior management and stakeholders.
> Help promote risk culture through regular communication and sharing, risk identification and assessment, training, metrics and reporting, audit/ inspection coordination etc.
> Manage and coordinate risk projects with the Operations risk community.
> Manage and coordinate audit/ inspection coordination with various functional lines.
> Proven ability to manage teams.
> Providing management updates to Operations management on risk program initiatives
> Maintain stakeholder relationship with functional lines and external parties (Firm ORD, TIR, IAD, Compliance etc.) > The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
> 12+ years of working experience in Operational Risk Stream
> Strong Operations functional knowledge and experience, exposure to financial services and operations
> Strong Communication Skills. Effective interaction with others across departments and regions
> Strong Execution skills. Partner with risk community or line managers to execute risk program initiatives timely and be able to deliver good outcome.
> Ability to manage teams and multi-task.
> Good writing skills. With experience in writing management summary, audit summary or operating procedures
> Good understanding of Banking and Financial rules & regulations
> Strong mindset of risk and controls
> Good experience in audit, compliance or internal controls is a plus.
> Attention to detail.
> Strong Analytical skills
> Work independently.
> Proactive and self-motivated
