An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VP Transformation to join the Transformation team, as part of Strategy and Transformation.

In this role you will drive and enable the delivery of our transformation activity, a highly complex transformation programme, in support of our strategic pillars and mid-term targets. The role is Enterprise wide and operates at a senior level in the organisation.

What you will be doing:

In the role of VP Transformation, you will act as ambassador for our Winning Together transformation programme and role model performance excellence as a leader:

  • Is able to articulate a problem statement, identify a successful outcome and drive to delivery of the outcome, demonstrating resilience and adaptiveness, bringing our teams with you. Use change management methodology and change leadership to successfully lead the programme and business change activity, engaging our teams to drive for success and a sustainable outcome.
  • Demonstrates a One Rolls-Royce mindset and is a holistic thinker, who understands the Value Chain and value optimisation, and is able to ‘join the dots’. Act as coach to teams to understand that as an Enterprise we need to be comfortable with constant change and help our teams to achieve their transformation goals; resolve conflicts; support the workstream owners to execute and deliver positive business impact.
  • Drives for simplicity and standardisation, to deliver operational effectiveness and efficiency, through key programmes of work. Performance manage workstreams to achieve outcomes and regularly communicates and collaborates with senior stakeholders, to deliver transformational performance.
  • Accountability for delivering specific transformation projects from idea creation to deployment, ensuring robustly embedded in our operating model and ways of working, as part of the delivery of our mid-term targets. Act as collaborator to drive delivery of the One Rolls-Royce operating model, ensuring clear accountability, decision rights and interfaces are embedded.

Preferred requirements:

  • The individual must have presence and credibility, is able to operate at senior levels in the organisation and must be able to build and maintain a large number of relationships, given the variety and seniority of the stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in change leadership and management and operational execution, to ensure a sustainable outcome. Has operated as a coach and guide to support our teams to deliver successful outcomes and develop their capabilities.
  • Has led complex projects in more than one context, function or business. Experience in the governance and management of transformation/improvement programmes and has lead programme execution against the target roadmap and can identify when corrective action is needed to address off-track items.
  • Demonstrates an understand of our businesses operating model and how value is generated to deliver our vision of a high performing, competitive, resilient and growing Rolls-Royce. Coupled with commercial acumen and technical knowledge to ask the right questions and work through the solutions to the many challenges that occur in programmes of this size and complexity.
  • Demonstrates good understanding of problems, resolution and is outcome driven. Exercise good judgement on when to make decisions and when to consult/escalate.
