📍 Adlington, UK | 🕒 Full-time (39 hours per week, Monday–Friday)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Stores / Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

This role plays a vital part in our end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and delivery of materials to support production and aftermarket operations. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will help maintain efficiency, accuracy, and strong communication across departments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Stores & Stock Control

  • Receive, check, and book in deliveries using ERP systems (Sage and bespoke systems)
  • Carry out cycle counting and stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality concerns
  • Maintain organised and accurate storage locations

Kitting & Production Support

  • Pick and assemble components into kits for production and aftermarket use
  • Supply materials and components to shop floor teams in line with deadlines
  • Act as a key point of contact supporting multiple production teams

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Pack and prepare components and products for shipping
  • Support aftermarket dispatch activities
  • Liaise with site logistics teams to coordinate movement of goods

Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
  • Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment safely
  • Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, reporting and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices
  • IT literate (MS Office and ERP systems)
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Proactive, flexible, and “can-do” attitude

Desirable

  • Experience in a stores, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of stock control processes and ERP systems
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (advantageous – training can be provided)
  • Understanding of Health & Safety in a manufacturing setting
