Job Summary:
Controls all warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of product from production to warehouse to shipping. Receives, stores, and transfers products within both the Plant and DC Warehouses. Coordinates all inbound /outbound finished goods scheduling for CPU based customers and collaborates with the Hood Logistics team on all other inbound/outbound finished goods shipping and receiving activities. Troubleshoots logistics issues and has regular direct contact with outside carriers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all inbound/outbound finished goods transportation scheduling needs.
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and completing various tasks in SAP, Log Pro, BPCS, WMS, and other business-related software systems.
- Compiling data and creating detailed itemized reports as needed for all warehouses.
- Completes analysis for KPI metrics and ensures compliance and continuous improvement.
- Work directly with warehouse managers, supervisors, and additional required personnel to execute and complete various project needs.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has vast knowledge regarding overall warehousing functions to include areas of shipping, receiving, transportation, and supply chain.
- Ability to work independently and successfully meet tight deadlines.
- Works in a safe manner and reports safety concerns promptly to management and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
- Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, to sufficiently handle job tasks.
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to any/all basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
- Reconciles WMS and BPCS inventory systems validating actual counts with system totals.
- Performs visual quality inspections of product in the warehouse.
- Develop and maintain tracking of losses due to damage, returns, etc. and communicates results to proper areas.
- Research & communicate OS&D – (loading errors) to both Transportation & Warehouse.
- Monitor and communicate short coded product to ensure sales.
- Assist with all inbound/outbound paperwork, errors, tracking & records for filing.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Plant & Lab for Release issues with products.
- Provides support to procurement services for production and processing, including lab samples, and sorts of products.
- Produces daily and weekly reports to identify product shortages and/ or early releases needed.
- Assists in periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data and manages the cycle counting program.
- Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need).
- Knowledge of company's mission, purpose, goals and your role in achieving each of them.
- Any other tasks as assigned by department managers.
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree or experience equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing/warehousing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead role experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledgeable of all Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficient in all Microsoft office programs.
- Strong general computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral required.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to office, production, and warehouse environments. Including the outside perimeter of the building.
- Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
- Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break.
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 60 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
